Anyone who’s seen me drink my daily ‘mud’ usually has a look of horror on their face, but it really isn’t that bad. I took the idea of it from Ann-Louise Gittleman’s Fat Flush Plan and her ‘Long Life Cocktail’ and modified it – adding a few things I figured couldn’t hurt, that I would most likely never take any other time of day. Here’s what goes into it [I've added links ot the actual products if anyone is interested]:
2 Tbsp Flax Meal
1 Tsp Ultra Greens powder
1 Tbsp L-Carnitine Liquid liquid
1 Tbsp Cod Liver Oil
1/4 Cup unsweetened cranberry juice
1/4 Cup natural orange juice
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Tsp Liquid Silver [optional]
I just stir it all up, wait a minute so the flax meal isn’t so dry, and then swirl and drink with a straw. It’s great before a workout to stave off hunger without filling my stomach and I do feel better on the days I have it vs. the days I get lazy or don’t have the time to have it. If someone around me is sick, I’ll add in a 1/2 Tsp of liquid silver for added immune protection. In the end it tastes like a mildly nutty, orangie flavor that isn’t tough to drink, but it looks kind of like the bottom of a pond [a healthy, green, unpolluted pond]. lol…
